Cookies again

This time, Italian sesame cookies. Of course, a recipe of one of my favourite cookbooks: Moosewood Restaurant book of desserts. Nearly everything I made of this book, was yummy.

This recipe has been marked with two exclamation marks by myself – to remind me to make these cookies more often. So finally, we made them again, brought them to a BBQ, and everyone told us, that they were greeeeeeat. Thank you, dear Moosewood! I owe you really much!

For about 40 cookies, you need:

3  cups (about 750 ml) flour
1,5 tsp baking powder
1 cup (about 250 ml) sugar
125 g butter
3 eggs
vanilla
1/2 tsp salt

sesame seeds

Crumble together butter, flour, and sugar. Add the eggs and the vanilla, knead quickly a dough.

Preheat the oven (180°C)

Divide the dough in four parts, make long logs of about 1,5 cm in diameter. Brush the logs with water, roll them in sesame seeds. Cut them in little parts, put them on baking sheets and bake them for about 20 minutes. Check after 10 minutes, if they bake evenly and change the places of the baking sheets, if necessary.
