chuckling and giggling in the salad bowl


In English they are called chick peas. In German, their name is Kichererbsen, and kichern means to giggle. Normally I’m not too fond of them, but this salad is very good! And fast. I got the recipe from a friend who got it from a friend (who also got it from a friend??)

You need:

1 can of chick peas (=240 g of boiled chick peas)
1/2-1 tblsp breadcrumbs
1-2 handful of fresh parsley
1-2 tblsp lemon juice
2-4 tblsp oil (“normal” oil, neutral taste)
salt and pepper

Drain the chick peas, rinse with water and put them in a bowl. Add the bread crumbs. Chop the parsley and add it. Drizzle with lemon juice and oil, season with salt and pepper, mix everything well and enjoy your meal!
